Note To Reader:

Each motorcycle racing "Series" consists of 21 races, every weekend all summer except for the long weekend in the middle. The July/August long weekend has big-money events that draws large crowds. I think it's all for prestige.

One year I went to 1 and after I returned to my "pit area" after practice, everything I didn't lock in my van was gone. My barbecue, cooler, spare tires, canopy, etc. (I learned to take extra time to lock everything up from then on)


Started Enduro racing in

1974

with a 1961 250 Jawa C Z


Continued Enduro events in

1975

and participated in many "backyard" (non-sanctioned) Cross-Country competitions including motocross, flat track and hillclimbing


1976

was more Enduros. I also found some Scrambles and even tried Trials. I had a go at a couple of motocross races in New York state. C.N.Y.M.R.A. (Central New York Motocross Riders Association) and got slaughtered. I mean, these guys were cookin'. Don't tell anyone – I got lapped by the 1st 3 of them.

It was brand-new at the beginning of the season.


Now, okay I have to be truthful.
I didn't always do so good.

There were times of nothing but breakdowns. 1978

1978 Husky

Placed in USA

They split USA Pro MX into 4 sections.

I placed 11th in the North Eastern ¼ of United States and qualified to go to the 1/2 nationals in California. -1979- Then, couldn't afford to do that...


1980 saw the start of the EOM (Eastern Ontario Motocross Association) plus I raced some Hillclimbing and Mud Bogs


I destroyed some bikes, just by racing them

Only got 5th overall for the year that time -1981

In 1982 I won the Series

the E.O.M. 250 and Open Class "Expert" title
